No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to our servers from Protx are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing we pass to the Protx servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

3D-Secure
3D-Secure is a culmination of Verified by Visa (VbV) and MasterCard SecureCode (MSC) to further secure CNP (card-not-present) transactions over the Internet. 3D-Secure is just like using chip & pin at an ATM or in a shop - it offers extra identity authentication.
A transaction using Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode will initiate a redirect to the website of your card issuer to authorize the transaction either using private personal details kept by your bank, a user-chosen password, or, more securely, a one-time password.
